KATHERINE'S POV As a child I had always loved exploring the caves under the Bright Moon's lands. They were the foundation not only of the safety, but also of the wealth of our pack; you couldn't help but be enchanted looking at the walls full of gems and illuminated by veins of gold and silver. The light from the neon lamps that dad had installed was reflected on the thousand facets of the precious stones, coloring the immense cave in which we were staying with all colors. It was even crossed by an underground river, the waters of which looked like liquid starlight; as a child I had spent days, if not whole weeks of my life, exploring those tunnels, or simply admiring that wonderful view, usually with Brendan.
