I wasn’t really surprised by the way my mother spoke to Laila, however, I was caught off guard by the way Laila reacted to everything. I didn’t expect her to pay attention to how silly my mom could be at times but I guess this was a blessing in disguise too. It was a good thing that she decided not to take to heart anything that my mother said, even though I knew that my mother wasn’t just being silly or dramatic.
