I was glad that the trial was finally over and my mother had been sentenced. I was relieved that the sentence that I had given her had been accepted without anyone contesting my decision. Going into the meeting, I had been very concerned that Laila was going to be the one who was going to make it hard for me but after the meeting began I discovered that alpha Sam also seemed to have something against my mother. However, despite the two of them being the ones with the strongest reasons to object neither of them said anything to my relief.
