LAILA’S POV Everything that that doctor had told us challenged everything that I had ever known about myself. My father hated talking about the past and this was often a point of contention between us. Whenever I asked him questions about my mother he would blow up and throw a fit, claiming that I had no right to ask about her and he had even told me that he would never tell me anything. Right now I was feeling like the doctor knew more about my life and where I was from better than I did. I wasn’t even sure if believing what I was being told was a sane thing to do, but it was sadly the only thing close to the truth that I had ever been told. I wished the doctor could be the one to give me more answers to my questions about my parents because he seemed to be more forthcoming than my fath
