“What? No! Are we an ice cream or something? Anything but not that”
“You told me everything that comes to my mind is fine, right? Then why don’t you agree with cookies and cream?”
“Because it is an ice cream flavor and we are not an ice cream”
I gave her a lot of wide gestures just for her to see that we are not a flavor. I am a reaper, she is a soul. How can we be cookies and cream?
“How about cupcakes?”
OH COME ON REALLY? DO I LOOK LIKE A SWEET FOOD TO HER? I AM NOT. AND I AM KIND OF ANNOYED.
SHE’S GIVING ME THAT CUTE INNOCENT LOOK REALLY? IT WILL NOT WORK ON ME.
“What? We’re not food! Can you not give a call sign that is related to food?”
“I’m confused with you, you told me that it’s all up to me but you are not agreeing with my suggestions.”
“How about… light and dark? You are light, I am dark. You light up my dark world. How about that?”

Then she hugged me, I don’t know but I just let her do that. Do whatever she pleases.

Okay Thanatos, it is fake. Just pretend that you like her. Pretend that you are very happy to be with her. Pretend that you are a very romantic husband.

“What?! Hey! *slap* wake up!” and in a snap, I woke up. I felt a sting-like pain in my cheeks. She slapped me too hard!
“Aw! Why do you have to do that?” I looked at her. As of the moment, she looks annoyed instead of worried. Oh come on, what do I expect?
“For you to wake up! It's been an hour and a half since you passed out. It seems like you are also dreaming about me”
“W-what? You?” I don't know what she is talking about… I mean… how did she know..
I have just seen some of my memories with her in the past. I mean with her old self as Mara.
Somehow, they still have similarities. Just like the picking up of the cringy call signs.
“Yeah… you said 'I LOVE YOU'. Well, sorry Thanatos but I don't actually love you too ya know. Our relationship is complicated, we're just together because of the baby remember? So… don't take me so seriously'' damn it so I said those words out loud?! In front of her?! How awkward is that?!
I just let out a big sigh before I think of something to reason out.
“Wow, how can you say that so confidently? A-and… I am not dreaming about you. I don't love you either” yeah, that's right. I don't love her. That is the truth, one hundred percent truth! Even if my heart is usually pounding fast when she is being close to me, it doesn't mean that I love her. No, no. Not really.
“Woah, so if it is not me… then who? Who are you talking to in your dream in which you say the magical three words?” and there she is, raising one of her eyebrows again. Speculating everything about me.
“It's… i-it is… none of your business, okay?” Then I immediately stood up from lying on the floor of her house. So I've been unconscious here for a long time? Great. She didn't even try to put me on the sofa.
“Woah… is it Nemesis?”
“What? No! That is impossible!” she is always dragging that name and I don't understand why! How many times do I have to tell her that I and Nemesis are not what she thinks we are?!
“Okay, okay, calm down… you're looking so guilty when you do that”
“I am not guilty. I am just telling the truth” I looked at her seriously before I tried to shove some dust in my clothes.
“Okay. By the way, if you are wondering why you are on the floor, you are heavy. I can't carry you to the couch you dropped dead on the road outside! I don't know what to do so I just pull you all the way back here”
“You pulled me?!” great, that's the reason why I am full of dust.
“Yes. That's why your clothes are a bit dirty right now”
“Damn it. Thanks huh” I sarcastically said looking at my shirt.
“Hey, you are heavy! What am I supposed to do? No one's outside either for me to ask for help!”
“Yeah… okay” I didn't fully listen to her. I just started to take off my shirt.
“HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” I was surprised when she shouted. I looked puzzled at her. Why is she so surprised?
“What… why? I am going to change my clothes”
“In front of me?! Are you insane?”
“W-why? I thought you have… seen all of me already? We even had se--”
“STOP RIGHT THERE, OKAY?! THAT IS DIFFERENT. WE ARE BOTH DRUNK THAT NIGHT OKAY. SO GO TO THE BATHROOM AND CHANGE THERE! i***t!” Why is she overreacting right now? She didn't even let me finish what I'm going to say!
I just rolled my eyes and sigh. Before I walk towards the bathroom as she says.
“O-okay…” I went inside the bathroom and I started to take all of my clothes off.
Damn it. There's a lot of dust and dirt at the back of my shirt and pants. Holy crap. This head aching thingy of mine is not really in good timing, always.

Oh crap! I don't want to remember it again! Did I say that because she wants me to say those words or do I say that because I really mean it?
No. Is that the first time that I feel like I am falling for her? Damn it.
“Okay, stop thinking about it, Thanatos. That is all in the past. You should be remembering your mission but up until now you can't remember!” I shouted as I looked at myself in the huge mirror here. I'm so stupid for doing this.
I looked around… and I just realized, I don't have any shirt to change with! So what's this? I am going to leave this bathroom naked just to go to the living room and get my stuff? I forgot to get my bag there which contains my clothes!
What should I do?
“Holy crap! Thanatos what's happening to you” I said as I tried to slap myself. Damn it I am going crazy!
Then…
All of a sudden…
I felt a cool breeze roaming around the bathroom.
What the?! I am not wearing anything right now and it's getting cold?!
I look around again and try to figure out what strategy I am going to do to make it out of here without being naked. As I saw the bathroom curtain, I immediately had an idea.
I quickly detached it and tried to cover myself with it… until…

I heard… her voice! She is here!
“Sally…” I said as I turned my head from left to right trying to figure out where she was.
Get out of this house!
So that's why it gets cold here… because she is here. She is mad right now.
“Show yourself!”

Her voice, it's too painful to hear. It is getting on my head and it's getting so loud!
“I won't do that. I will protect Makaria from you!”

Damn. I can feel her anger all over this room. I started to cover both of my ears because I feel like it's going to explode.
“Stop, stop!!!” I said as I still continue to search where she is. If I am still a grim reaper, I am going to get her and drag her to the afterlife!

Damn it, my head and ears are hurting because of her voice!
