“Thanatos, what took you so long? Your wound is needed to be treated immediately” as soon as I went to the clinic, Makaria quickly stood up and walk slowly towards me. It seems like I have been away for so long. I talked to Dianna for just a few minutes!

“I just talked to Dianna” then I tried to move her back to the small bed here. She seemed confused by what I said. What is the matter?

“Why? What did you two talk about?”

“I told her, about us”

“What? Does she have to know?” I saw one of her eyebrows raised up as if she doesn’t want what she has heard.

“Of course, she is my friend”

“Exactly! She is just your friend Thanatos. She doesn’t need to know anything about us!” What? Why is she like that? I don’t understand.

“She helped me! She’s been with me all throughout my journey here. If it is not because of her, I won’t be able to be here, in your company”

“For all I know, she’ll try to gossip us to her colleagues” she seen so upset that I told Dianna about us. There is nothing to be upset about! I really don’t understand her.

“She is not like that!”

“Oh, so now you are trying to defend her?” now she is talking nonsense? I am not trying to defend anyone, I am just reasoning out and telling her the truth! She is not fair, she is only thinking about herself.

“It’s just that… you were totally wrong about her”

“Woah! You really are defending her! So what is this? Are you choosing her between me and your baby?” she is frowning at me as she touched her belly. Okay, here we go again.

“No, I am not!” I move close to her to calm her down. I don’t think that what she is doing right now is good for the baby. Once I heard, the mom should not be stressed while she is pregnant because it may affect the baby inside her womb.

“Then, don’t talk to her!” okay damn it! I can’t calm her down!

“Why not? She is not doing anything wrong! She respects you, you are our boss”

“I don’t like her. And I don’t think that she really respects me, she is just afraid.” what the? What is wrong with her? What kind of reasoning is that? She wants me to stay away from Dianna just because she doesn’t like her? Why the hell? I am being so confused right now! I can’t see anything wrong with what I am doing. For me, Dianna at least has the right to know what happened to me, to us. At least I owe her that even if I haven’t repaid her yet for all the help she gave me.

“Well, who does not?”

“What? Come again, Thanatos?” damn, I shouldn’t have said that. I turned around and did not look at her. For all I know, she is aware that her employees don’t really like her that much.

“Nevermind. Forget that. I didn’t say anything”

“Are you trying to tell me that all of my employees are afraid of me?” wow, she is telling that as if she doesn’t really have a clue!

“I didn’t say that. I told you, nevermind”

“Why would they be afraid? I am a sassy and gorgeous boss” here she is, being what she is. 

*sigh*

“Yes, I give you that. But your approach to your employees is not so good. Like your approach to me before… when I am new here and… when nothing happened to us yet” I sat down on the bed beside her while I am looking at the floor. I know she is staring at me, but I can’t do the same way to her.

“Oh well, if that is the case, I won’t change myself to them I don’t even care who they are. As if they really even care about me. They don’t matter” she looked away as she crosses her arms. That is the time that I took a glimpse of her. At her age, she seemed so immature, aside from that, it seemed like she had experienced a lot back then that is why she is acting this way.

“Why is your perspective too negative?”

“That is life Thanatos. You have to accept that. And we? We are together because we had a baby. I need you by my side, always.” I was surprised when she started to hold my hand. I am having goosebumps right now! And my heart is pounding so fast. Damn it, here it goes again! This heart of mine, I want to take it out of me to stop this feeling I am having when I am close to her.

“Do I really have to be with you always?” 

“Yes. As you said to me before, you want to protect me from I-don’t-know-what thing right? So, protect me” I tried to look at her eyes and… I saw something...

“You look different, I can see that you are afraid”

“Me? Afraid? Excuse me, I am not afraid” she was stunned by what I said, more of shock. She didn’t expect me to say that. 

“I can see it in your eyes, it is my first time seeing you like that” I don’t know but I tried to touch her face and she move away, she shrugs my hands away. I knew it, I am right. She is afraid, but with who?

“I am not afraid, okay? You are wrong”

“You are hiding something…” she is now the one who can’t look at me straight in the eyes. She quickly stood up, not facing me.

“I am not, hey! B-between us, you are the one who’s hiding something!”

“Yes, and I admit that. But you?” I also stood up and went in front of her. I wanted to see her reaction, it is once in a lifetime incident and I want to capture this moment. It looks like I have cornered her in her own play. I know she can’t think of anything good to reason out.

“Because I am not really hiding anything! You know what? I will just call the doctor to treat your wounds. You really needed to be treated” she immediately walk away and go to the door. She is avoiding me. She is avoiding the topic. She looks so guilty by how she acts right now.

“Wait how about your legs? Are you sure you can walk”

“Of course! I am not paralyzed, i***t!”

Then with that, she left.

MAKARIA’S POV

I tried to walk as fast as I can away from that clinic. I am not actually planning to call the doctor, I am planning to escape from our conversation.

Damn this boy! He really has the audacity to talk about secrets huh? For all I know he is the one who’s hiding a lot of things more than mine.

Well, I still win somehow. He really fell into my trap. He really thinks that I am pregnant! Just by that fake pregnancy test and my good acting skills… poof! This dumb janitor is in my hands already. A little bit more of a pitiful disguise and I can control him already! I know I can, it just takes a little bit of time. And when that comes… he will eventually tell me everything about him.

“M-ma’am… Antoinette”

And suddenly, a woman whom I don’t expect to encounter is now standing in front of me looking nervous but trying to be brave. This pitiful scared woman that dare to call and went near me…this woman that I don’t really like… but I am quite enjoying the view.

“Dianna, why?” she… hmmm. What seems to be the reason for her to act brave like that? The last thing I know, she is too afraid to see me but now? Hmmm… interesting.

“C-can I talk t-to you” she is even stuttering! Is she really sure that she wants to talk? Because anytime soon maybe she will just faint or something.

“About what? You know that time is precious to me so… it’d better be important”

“About… you and… Thanatos”

WHAT AM I HEARING RIGHT NOW? SO IT IS ABOUT THAT JANITOR HUH?

Well, I won’t be surprised if she’ll confess to me that she likes him.

“What about us? And… I don’t think you have the right to take part in what is going on with us”

“Yes, but I do…” then suddenly, out of nowhere… I was surprised… when someone interrupted my conversation with Dianna...

She… how did she get here?

“You, you are Nemesis, right?” I quickly asked because I am being so confused right now! What is going on? Dianna and… her? Do they know each other? Am I interpreting it correctly? The heck! I am not expecting this kind of situation!
