And in a flash…
I saw myself laying on the ground in the middle of the road. I am actually bleeding. My arm is bleeding. I looked at the right side and saw Makaria’s shocked and confused face while she was sitting on the floor looking at me.
“W-what was that?” she asked while I am trying to get up. Eventually, she helped me to get up. I looked at the car that almost hit her. It did not stop, it continues to run as if nothing’s happened. I tried to chase it but my body is somehow aching and it slows me down. I just looked at the plate number of that car and try to memorize it, but suddenly, someone popped out at the back seat…
Sally…
I saw her, smiling…
As the car goes far and far and far…
My eyes are widened in shock. So what is this all about? She is now starting to get Makaria? She wants Makaria dead and gets her soul like any other? Damn it! How can I catch that ghost?!
“Hey, Thanatos… don’t chase it. I already got the plate number. It will be okay” I came back to reality when I felt Makaria’s hand touching one of my shoulders. I turned around and looked at her. She got some wounds on her legs!
“I am glad you are alright” then I hugged her tight. “I am glad the baby is alright” I continued before detaching myself from her.
“Thank you, Thanatos. Our baby would be so glad because of you” she smiled, and I can’t help myself but admire her. What the heck did I really say ADMIRE?
Damn it. How did we get into this kind of setup? The other day we are just like cat and dog that can’t be left together because we’ll eventually argue but now?
I really can’t believe that I accepted the fact that she is pregnant with me. After all, that happened to us. After she said that she will make me miserable...after Raiden also wanted me to be miserable…
Here we are, peaceful together, just for the sake of the baby.

---FLASHBACK---
“What is this?” all I can see are two vertical lines. What does it mean? I have no idea.
“That's a pregnancy test”
“A…what?!” so there is some kind of mechanism like this. Is this used to know if she is pregnant or not?
“One line means negative and two lines mean… positive” what is she talking about? I am confused!
“I still don't get it. Can you please simply tell me directly?”

“I am pregnant, we're having a baby, Thanatos”
“What? That is not possible!” I immediately gave her back the pregnancy test that she is talking about, then I stood up, aiming to go out of this house. I cannot take that this is happening.
“Thanatos, it is possible believe me. I have shown you my evidence already” but then, she tried to stop me. She blocked my way.
“But… I… I really don’t think that we had s*x that night”
“Of course, because you don’t remember. But I do!” I can see the frustration in her eyes… but why do I feel like she is just pretending? Is it just me or… I just can’t really accept what is happening right now.
“I… I can’t believe this”
“You just told me that you will take responsibility if something really happened to us, right? Take that responsibility! You will be a father. We are having a baby!” I can’t absorb everything. I am still confused and shocked. So this is legit? This is really happening? We really did it? What the heck?! What’s gonna happen to me? My mission… what if my mission is really not to fall in love with her again? Then I am doomed! I even got her pregnant?! Isn’t that bad? What kind of punishment am I going to take now?
“Thanatos, look at me. You think I have changed, right? I have changed because of what happened. We should be having a good relationship, for the sake of our child” she held both of my shoulders and tried to look straight into my eyes but I am turning away.
“But… w-we are not even in a relationship. Aside from that, I am just a janitor in your company. I should be the one to financially support both of you but… I am just your lowly employee”
“I don’t care, okay? Look, I am not even in love with you. We are really not together, but… we made THIS. There is no turning back” she even touched her belly and smiled, as if she is really happy that she is pregnant. Is she?
“What about Raiden?”
“What about him? He is nothing to me. I don’t like him” when we talked about that admirer of hers, he release her hold on me and turned around. Something is not right here.
“So... you like me?”
“I don’t like you too. But… as I said, we had a baby so, I am giving you a chance”
“This is absurd” I let out a big sigh. I am so messed up! I don’t know what to think, or to do. I don’t have any plans! This is all new to me.
“I know. But this is the only way, Thanatos… are you going to accept your responsibility or not?” she face me again and looked at me seriously. Her eyes are like piercing me all throughout.
“Okay, okay. For the sake of the baby.” and when I said that, I saw her grin before she pushed me to sit down on the chair again.
“Great! Now, let’s continue our dinner shall we?”

And starting that night, I never took Makaria out of my sight. This is the time that I need to protect her double time.
As of today, Sally seemed to be aggressive in planning to kill her. It is actually the second time that I saw her trying to harm Makaria but… this time, it is more brutal. I don’t know what is happening to her. I also have no idea why she is doing it just now… I tried to track her down for so many weeks, but she is not showing up besides Makaria. She’s been so quiet for that long, so why now? Is it because Makaria and I...are having a baby?
“Come on, Thanatos. Let us go to the clinic. My company is not too far away from here” as I looked at her, she seemed to have some difficulties in walking because of her wound, so I grabbed her arms and I wrapped them around my shoulders for support.
She was flustered. But then she just accept my help and continue to walk.
As we enter the building, a lot of employees are looking at us in surprise. Of course, they are surprised. We are wounded, and we are together. I look around and see Dianna, she is just staring at us, and… she doesn’t seem okay.
“Hey, what happened?” then one of my Bosses dared to go near us and asked. I can still hear other people hear chatting and saying a lot of things about us.
“S-sir Alex, can you take her to the clinic? I will tell you everything later” I unwrapped her arms around me and gave her to Sir Alex who immediately helped.
“Sure, Thanatos. She is our CEO, she needs to be taken care of” they are about to walk but Makaria turned around for me.
“What about you, Thanatos? Are you not coming with me? You have wounded also” she sincerely asked.
“Don’t worry, I will follow. I just need to talk to someone”
“Hurry, okay?”
I just nod at her as an answer, before I go towards Dianna who is now just trying to walk away. I immediately grabbed her arms to stop her.
“Dianna”
“Why, what do you need?” she asked without even looking at me.
“Are you upset?”
“What do you think? I was worried you know?! I don’t know how to contact you, I went to your house early this morning but you are gone, I thought something happened to you… well, something really happened to you! You are wounded, and you are with our CEO” She shrug my hands as she said all her frustrations.
“I… I am sorry if I didn’t tell you…” I am trying to look at her face but she is trying to avoid my glimpse. She is just looking down on the floor.
“What is happening, Thanatos? Could you please tell me what is going on because I am so confused!”
“Yes, okay. You deserve to know. Someone tried to hit Makaria with a car”
“What?” this time, she looked at me, and she is shocked.
“Someone tried to kill her but, I was able to protect her. That is why we are wounded” she seemed sad as she look at the wound in my arms, it is still bleeding.
“Then why are you together? Since earlier this morning you are with her?”
“Yes…”
“Why?”
“*sigh* She went to my house to fetch me”
“Why? I don’t know that you two are that close” and now, she is more confused and she is sad. I don’t want to see her like that. All she has done for me is good, she always helps me. I want her to be happy, but why is she like this? Should I tell her? Or it will just make her sadder?
“We are not… but… we… ughm…”
“Thanatos? Tell me”
