“Mr. Salvador, please help. Ma'am Antoinette fainted in her office” I was surprised when Eve called me. She is from the office of Makaria which is just a few steps away from where I am cleaning right now.
She looks so worried and I am confused! I immediately left my mop and started to walk along with Eve.
“What? What happened?”
“I actually don't know! We're just talking about her schedule today, then after that she just told me that she is a bit dizzy. Next thing that happened was that! Hurry! I cannot carry her so please hurry!” We went inside and I saw Makaria, unconscious on the floor.
I quickly ran towards her trying to wake her up but…
“Ma'am Antoinette? Ma'am Antoinette? Damn it” SHE IS NOT WAKING UP. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO HER?!
I grabbed and pulled her before I carried her. She is a bit heavy but I didn't mind. I tried to run as fast as I could to bring her to the clinic which is on the first floor. We're currently on the fifth floor of this building so I used an elevator.
“Ma'am Antoinette, just hold on… huhuh I am really nervous” Eve said as she tried to fix Makaria's hair that was covering her face.
“Don't worry, Eve. She will be alright. Okay?” Even if I am not quite sure of what's happening, I am trying to calm Eve down. The truth is, I am nervous too. I am just good at hiding it.
“I really hope so, Mr. Salvador. It is the first time that she fainted.”
First time? What might be the cause of this?
*ding!*
“We are here! Thanatos, hurry let's go” as our elevator landed on the first floor, the door immediately opened. I quickly ran out to find the clinic. I saw a lot of employees looking at us chatting around as they were curious about what happened.
“Is that our boss? What happened?”
“Why is she unconscious?”
“It's a nice view here. Our boss fainted! Serves it right”
“Shhh! Lower your voice, she might hear you”
“She is unconscious so how can she hear me?”
I heard a lot of people around us murmuring when we passed by. From what I am hearing right now, they didn't even care about Makaria. They really hate her and they like seeing her like this.
So this is her impact on her employees, hatred. I admit she is mean, and annoying, and everything but…
I still don't like seeing her in this state. I am worried.
“Here is the clinic, Mr. Salvador put her on that bed quick” as we were already at the front door of the clinic, Eve opened it to give way for me. I entered and laid Makaria on a white small bed.
I stare at her. She is pale.
“What happened to her?” Then the doctor in this company came inside the room. She ran towards us as she looked so shocked and worried. Of course, even me, I am still in shock right now.
“Doc, you're here! Please assist.”
“Of course Eve. Can you two please leave me with the patient for a moment?”
I want to know what happened to Makaria. I want to stay by her side right now. The last time I saw her was three days ago. I am literally avoiding her. I tried really hard not to see her but now? I don't even know what to think, what caused this? Why did she faint? Is it… Sally?
I almost forgot about Sally. It's been a long time since I heard and saw her. What if she did something to Makaria? Damn it, if that's the case I failed to protect her. I should have been protecting her. I was carried away from what happened to us and how she treats me but… still… Makaria is my responsibility.
I shouldn't have left my sight out of her.
“Hey, Mr. Salvador! We should go out according to Doctor Felicity” I snapped back to reality when Eve pulled one of my arms. I quickly followed and went out.
Damn it.
I am very confused and worried. I really hope nothing serious happens to her or else I can't forgive myself.

“Is she okay doc?” Eve asked right after the doctor went out of the clinic. We waited for a couple of minutes before she showed up. I get very nervous because I feel like she's taking so long checking up Makaria.
“Don't worry Eve, she is fine. She just needs some rest. From what I have observed, she overworked herself.”
“So nothing critical happened?” I asked, looking straight at the doctor.
“Not that I know of. Don't worry, I'll observe her for a couple of days. Let's see if this will happen again, hope not.” When I heard her say that, I was relieved. I really can't forgive myself if this happened because of Sally!
“Thanks, Doc”
“No worries, Eve. By the way, she is awake. You can go inside already”
“Thank goodness!” I saw the happiness in Eve's eyes when she heard the doctor. She immediately opened the door and went inside the room. I just followed.
I found Makaria sitting on the bed, still pale. She is looking right at us as she raises one of her eyebrows.
“So, hi. I didn't know that you were here checking me out… Thanatos” she smiled at me, but I didn't smile back. What is she doing to herself? She is stressing herself too much? Why? Look what happened. Her body didn't take it so she fainted. Damn it. I got really worried and nervous because I was thinking that Sally might be involved in what happened to her!
“He's the one who carried you all the way here Ma'am”
“Woah, Is that so? I didn't expect that you're that strong”
“How are you?” I didn't mind what she just said. I just asked her straight.
“Are you worried about me?*smirk*”
“I am just asking” I look away. She is trying to tease me again.
“Why are you asking then? Out of curiosity or… is it just because you care?”
“Neither of the two”
“Then why Thanatos?” she tried to move a bit to get closer to where I am. I tried to avoid her glimpses.
“Can you just please answer the question?”
“Can you just be open to me?”
“Is there something going on between you two?” then suddenly, Eve butt in our conversation.
“Shut up Eve!” / “Shut up Eve!” I was surprised when Makaria and I both said the same thing at the same time. Really?
“Okay, sorry. I'll be quiet now” Eve immediately bowed her head as she acted like she zipped her mouth. After that, I just then turned my attention back to Makaria.
“You overworked and you passed out but all you think about is still my secrets?! Come on Mara”
The heck, I called her by that name… again
What the heck Thanatos?!
“Don't call me by that name. You can't even reason out why you knew that nickname of mine but still, you dare to call me Mara?”
The smile on her face fades away immediately as she changes her expression and becomes serious.
That's stupid. I did stupid.
“Okay, fine I am sorry. I just hope you really are okay”
“What if I am not, what are you going to do then?”
I pause. I don't know how to answer her question.
“I'll leave you with Eve. I guess you are fine now” I just turned around and slowly walked towards the door. I am going out. I don't want to argue anymore.
“Hey! Answer my question. Don't just leave m--*retching noise*”
But then… something happened. I heard a sound coming from her so I faced her immediately. She is now holding her mouth as if she is trying to restrain herself from vomiting.
“Ma'am Antoinette? What's happening?” Eve immediately moved next to her as she touched her back.
“I need to vomit *retching noise* I'm going to the bathroom” what is going on? What is happening to her? Did she drink alcohol or what? Why is she like that?!
“Okay ma'am, do you need some assistance?”
“Of course not. Leave me alone *retching noise*” Then I saw Makaria quickly stand up and run to the bathroom inside this clinic room. That's when I heard her vomiting noises as if she had been drunk last night or had eaten something wrong.
I am confused right now!
“I really don't know what's happening to her, Thanatos”
“She is fine, Eve.” I tapped her back to ease her from worrying.
“She is vomiting! How can that be fine?” but of course, she can't calm down just like that.
“I mean… the doctor said that nothing serious is happening right?”
“Yeah right, but it seems like she is pregnant”
Wait…
Did she say PREGNANT?
“What?!” my eyes immediately widened as I heard her say that. Damn it.
“By the symptoms she is showing, she seems like she is pregnant”
THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE.
