“Let’s go Sephtis, Benedict is here. I am sure he’s the one who hurt Makaria” after I heard Makaria’s story, I immediately went back to the room where I left Sephtis. I immediately tell him what I have discovered.
I opened the window for a moment… to catch some fresh air because I am so frustrated with you earlier. You know what I mean. Then suddenly, there’s a very strong wind that entered my office. It is too strong like a small whirlwind or something and… I can’t even believe that it’s all true. This wind crashed everything in my office and I was… affected by it. Then the last thing I know is that I am bleeding already… that is where you found me on the floor
That is very unnatural, very likely to be a vengeance soul. As she tells that experience, I don’t even hesitate to believe because that is all I needed to hear to make sure that Benedict is really here in this building.
“Makaria… you mean your boss?

“Okay, so I guess you don’t want to share it with me huh” What the, he’s acting like a kid! Well, he looks young but not a kid! I am not here to babysit.
“Let’s just go, Sephtis. Look, I have no time for this but still, I am helping you just like before. I don’t understand why there’s always a soul escaping in your watch” I annoyingly looked at him. I am worried that we might not see Benedict here anymore because we are taking too much time in this nonsense crap.
“Hey, I am still adjusting, okay? I am still young and as I said before, I shouldn’t be the grim reaper at this time but… thanks to you”
Oh great, are we arguing now?
“I get it okay. That is why I am trying to help”
“But is that the only reason why you are trying to help me?”
“What do you mean?”
“That Makaria you say… she’s hurt because of him… then I can see in your eyes that you are agitated to see and catch Benedict because of that”
Here we go again, back to where it started. It is the reason why he’s being like that. Why does he have to give a damn about it? There is a larger problem that we need to deal with but he still has the time to be curious about what’s going on between me and Makaria.
“Of course, because he can harm people”
“Harm people or… harm… Makaria?”
Oh crap! He really wants to know what is going on with us.
“Hey what are you trying to say here?”
“Well, nothing… I just can feel some bond over here and there”
Bond, what bond is he talking about there is no bond. There is a baby, we are having a baby, that’s it. Unless it was proven to be a lie, I will take her ‘pregnant thingy’ as truth. Besides, she bleeds because of what Benedict did to her. I almost thought that she miscarried the baby but she told me that everything is fine. I guess it’s really fine. I hope it does. Because I really don’t know who to trust anymore. I am just trying to prove myself that my choice is right, not to trust what Nemesis said… but I won’t set aside the possibility.
“Tsk, Sephtis… I will tell you again one more time, let’s go and find Benedict because we are running out of time! We can’t let him escape again” I am losing patience here, he is acting like a child. We need to act now!
“Alright, alright, Thanatos. Let’s split okay? Your search in the lobby up to the third floor and I go to the fourth floor up to the rooftop. Remember, he has a huge birthmark on his cheeks”
“Okay!” Then I immediately do what he said. We went out of the room and I start looking. Good for him, no one can see him, but me? I look like a fool here!
I roam every room and every possible places that a ghost might hide. Dark places, mostly, knowing that he is a vengeance soul. I looked almost everywhere but I can’t see him. Damn it, where is he? He should be here somewhere.
After a few minutes of searching, the mission failed. I didn’t see any glimpse of that ghost.
“Hey, Thanatos… any update? Have you seen him?” then Sephtis suddenly pops out beside me. I almost had a heart attack. I was surprised, I didn’t expect him to just appear like that.
I just throw him a sharp look before I decided to walk towards the main entrance of this building. I need to go outside where no one can see us. He must have been forgotten, again, that he is invisible to human eyes. I will look so crazy if I talk to him like that. I will look like I am talking to myself.
“Hey! Thanatos where are you going? Are you just gonna ignore me?” he followed me all the way but as I expected, he will try to talk to me because HE REALLY FORGOT THAT HE IS INVISIBLE RIGHT NOW. I just walk faster until we get outside where there is no such crowd. I sat down behind the tree before I talk.
“Do you want me to look like crazy? The people inside that building can’t see you, remember?”
“Oh… ooooohhhhhh… sorry” that expression when he realized what he’d missed.
“I haven’t seen him anywhere, how about you?” I said before I let out a big sigh. I can’t think of another possible place where can we find him
“Me either. Are you sure he is here? Are you really sure that he went here?”
“Yes!”
“Where is he now?” What is wrong with him? Why is he asking me?! Do I look like I know?
“I don’t know! That is why I want you to hurry earlier because he might have been left already!” I am so agitated right now. It will be more difficult for us to find that ghost. That is a huge problem.
“So it is my fault now?” now he has the audacity to be annoyed and frustrated? I am supposed to be the one!

“Benedict?!” I utter as my eyes automatically widened up. What is going on here? Sephtis and I are both surprised.
“Yes, I am. How did you know me?” he looked at me, confused. Of course, it is his first time seeing me. As well as me.
“I’ve been looking for you! I even asked for Thanatos’ help just to find you” Sephtis finally talked, before she held Benedict’s shoulders.
“Ah… yes, I am sorry. I didn’t tell you”
“You don’t have to take revenge anymore. You shouldn’t have done that” I interrupted as I looked at this ghost seriously. Well, he seems harmless but… he hurt Makaria so I shouldn’t be blinded by his appearance.
“Done what?” so he is acting innocent huh?
“You know what…”
“What? I just escape because I just want to buy more time. I went to different places where I had a lot of memories” he’s talking nonsense! What is all of this? What is he trying to do?
“Yes, bad memories. That’s why you are here. This company is memorable to you because this is where you work, and where you met Makaria” I continued because he seems like he has no idea about what he did, or he is just acting like he knows nothing. He is not even saying about what happened in Makaria’s office.
“Yes, she is my boss. But I didn’t go here for her, I went here to see my colleagues for the last time”
“Wait, what? Your colleagues? That’s it?!” My voice started to raise because of what he is saying, it is not what I expected.
“Yes. I went here to see them. Why?”
“Are you sure about that? Because as far as I know, you wanted to take revenge on Makaria”
“What?! Why should I do that?” WHAT IS HAPPENING? HE DOESN’T LOOKS LIKE HE WANTS TO HAVE REVENGE OR SOMETHING!
“Because she fired you unreasonably. You lost your job, you died in sickness because you had no money for the medications” that is the time where Sephtis started to talk again. He is the one who told me that Benedict is a vengeance soul!
“Yes, at first I wanted to blame her but It happened already. I am dead. There’s no reason for me to plant some kind of hatred in my heart. I just want peace”
“But… Makaria said that….” these are the only words that blurt in my mouth. I don’t know if I still have to say the rest of the sentence. I am so confused right now.
“Said what, Thanatos. What did she say?” Benedict asks as he tried to touch me but I distance myself immediately.
“I am confused. You are lying!” I can’t accept this. There is a huge mistake going on here!
“What? I am not! I promise you that. If I am lying, then why am I here in front of you surrendering myself? God knows what I did. And I am harming no one in this place”
“Then why didn’t we see you inside the building? We are looking for you” I firmly said as I look at him straight in the eyes. What is going on here, he really looks so innocent.
“Yeah, maybe you haven’t seen me but… I’ve seen you. Actually… I am just following you Sephtis *points*”
“Me?! Why didn’t you show up and call me then?” Sephtis was surprised, even me. All this time he is just around?!
“I am stalling. Making my last few walks in this building before I go. I promise you. I didn’t do anything” He really looks like he is telling the truth! God damn it! He is sincere in everything he said! What the heck, should I believe this?!
“So it seems like… your Makaria is the one who’s lying here, Thanatos. You were fooled” Sephtis said before he tap my back.
No. I don’t understand! She is… lying? So what is this, I was wrong to believe her?
Oh no, there may be a huge reason why she said that kind of story. Maybe she really had her reasons…But, I am not so sure what it is. If that reason is for good or for bad.
And…
She still lied, I was fooled.
I believed her. I believed, Goddammit I BELIEVED!
Now, I am wavering…
