“So what is your wish? Amusement parks? Cupcakes? Puppies? What?”
I waited for her response for a few minutes. She seemed to be thinking about it thoroughly. Ah this kid, she acts like an adult with her young age.
“I wish to stay here”
“I am sorry… what?” This girl is nuts. Doesn’t she want to have a feeling of peace in her soul?
“I said I wish to stay here!”

“Hey! Thanatos wake up! You dumbass if you don’t wake up I am going to kill you! Stupid!”
Suddenly I felt a pair of hands shaking me so hard. I feel like I am in the middle of an earthquake or something.
I slowly opened my eyes only to see a woman in red looking so pissed. Dammit really?
“M-makaria?” I said as I try to open my eyes widely to see her clearly.
“You fool! I am your boss! Call me by my first name one more time and I am really going to kill you!” Then she slaps my face. I was surprised by what she did. I became fully awake because of that. She still really has that kind of peculiarity in her.
“I… I am sorry, Ma’am Antoinette” then I touched one of my cheeks that she slapped. It hurts a bit.
“Your head is bleeding! I woke you up because I can’t carry you to the clinic. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!” I didn’t realize that my head is bleeding not until she say so. Imagine that, I am bleeding already and she still has the audacity to slap my face. Nice! Really nice.
I touched my forehead and I saw the blood in my hands. Dammit.
“It’s nothing… Ma’am” really Thanatos? You say it is nothing? You are hurt, you fainted, now your head is bleeding, then she slaps you. IT IS NOTHING YES.
“What nothing?! Your head is bleeding and I found you unconscious on the floor of the stairs and you will tell me IT IS NOTHING?”
Yeah, that is what I told myself, Makaria. Same thoughts don’t worry. It is just that I don’t want you to get involved with this. Even if I know that you are rude, mean, and everything, I still don’t want you to get harmed especially by those souls.
“Y-you don’t need to know, Ma’am”
“The heck why?! I am your boss and you had that kind of incident inside my company then you will tell me I don’t need to know?! You might file a case against me because of what happened to you, i***t!” she pulled out her red handkerchief from her pocket and put it on my forehead that is currently bleeding. Actually, I am quite dizzy right now, I am just not making it too obvious for her.
“I am so sorry ma’am, this won’t happen again, and I won’t file a case against you. You know nothing about this and you should stay that way” I shrugged her hands out of my forehead as I took her red handkerchief. I insist that I can handle this bleeding part of my head in which she doesn’t need to assist.
“What the heck Thanatos?! You have a lot of things to explain. I won’t take that excuse. Another thing is that MERIA you say, I don’t think I have an employee with that name.” she frowned at me but I didn’t mind her. I just tried to stand up even if I am having a hard time doing so.
“Please, Ma’am… you had nothing to do with it” I almost fell down but she tried to support me. Why is she doing this? What is happening? She is being weird right now.
“As long as you are my employee here, I have to do something with it”
“Since when you care about my errands?” then I tried to push her away from me. I don’t know what she is up to, all I know is she is being so weird, trying to support and help me. As far as I know, she doesn’t care. And now? What? I am confused. So what is this, she was struck by her conscience?
“W-what did you say?”
“The last time I remember you don’t care if I die here or not. You even enjoyed watching me suffer, so why do you become so interested in what I am dealing with? I am sorry Ma’am Antoinette, but I need to go. I can handle myself here” I said as I left her there. She didn’t bother to follow me anymore.
I slowly walked through the hallway and saw some employees looking at me. Dammit, I still feel dizzy right now. I am just enduring it and trying to walk in a straight line.
At least I have accomplished something today, not only that, I have discovered something. That Sally, I don’t know if she is building a cult or what, she is recruiting some ghost that is finding justice for their deaths. She wants to turn them like her. A vengeance soul.
Now I remember who she really is. She was a child when she died, I am not really sure what happened to her that time but it seems like she wants to have her justice or she wants an act of revenge. Now, I am blaming myself. It is my fault, I let her slip out that time. Now it is hard to catch her anymore, especially that I am just a human. I am so stupid to grant her wish like that. For a single mistake, everything turns out like a domino, it affects a lot now. It has bigger damage.
Dammit, Thanatos, you still don’t remember your true mission here but then you still have this unfinished business that you need to handle?! That is great!
“Thanatos! I have been looking for you. What happened?” then thankfully, I saw and met Dianna on the way. I am really getting so dizzy.
“Help…”
I said as my eyes starts to close and my body fell down on her…

“Really Thanatos?! Now your head bleeds! You are really getting worse than before! Let me call a specialist in your condition. Look, you have amnesia, your head is aching from time to time, and now what? You fell down the stairs, because of that you bleed your head out! Where is that Sephtis that you said you’re friends with?!” so this is what I heard from Dianna as soon as I woke up here at the clinic of M&A corporation. What should I expect? Of course, she will get mad and worried about what happened to me. I just fainted in front of her.
“He is already gone. He found his friend”
“You mean GIRLFRIEND? Some employees said that he shouted the name Meria. Who is that then? I never heard of her”
“It is a long story, Dianna.”
“I am good at listening” she went close to me and she puts one of her hand on her chin as if she is ready to listen to whatever I might be going to say. I just looked at her seriously. I know she is nice and all but… I really can’t tell her everything.
“Dianna…”
“Don’t tell me it is the part that you also don’t want to share about?”
“I am sorry”
“You really are mysterious. You kept a lot of secrets. I wonder what other secrets are you hiding”
“Dianna, please. It is better if you don’t know, okay?” then I touched her other hand to show how sincere I am.
“Okay, I can’t do anything about it if you don’t want to share it with me. But please consider me calling a doctor for what is happening to you right now!”
“No. I am fine”
“No! You are not fine! Look at you!” She is starting to get so hysterical again, I thought I have calmed her down already.
“I am alive”
“What the hell? Should I call the specialist if you are already dead?!” she stood up and frowned. I can’t blame her, I know she is worried about me. She is a very nice friend.
“I am not saying that I am just saying… I am totally fine, no need to worry and no need to call a doctor”
“We had an agreement that if you get worse, I am going to call a doctor right?” she really is trying to convince me of that idea. I don’t think that doctors or specialists can help me with my condition. This is not as normal as she thinks.
“Yes, but I am better!”
“What? How is that being better, Thanatos?”
“Dianna I am real--”
*knock! knock!*
I don’t know if I would be happy because of that. Our conversation was interrupted because of the knocking, and I am not sure who that might be.
*knock! knock!*
Dianna immediately opened the door and we are both surprised by who the person is behind it.
“Hi there”
“Sir Raiden! Good evening sir” she immediately bowed in front of him, while I am still in shock. I have no idea why he would be here to visit me.
“No need formalities here, I am not like your boss Makaria”
“Hehehe okay sir, by the way, if you don’t mind… what brings you here?”
“I just want to check Thanatos if he is alright. I heard he fell down the stairs” hmm… I smell something weird here. Why would he care about what happened to me?
“Oh, Thanatos? he’s fine now. Uhmmm… you know each other, sir?”
I barely know him. I just met him one time in Makaria’s office, other than that I can’t see any reason for him to check me out here in the clinic. We are not even close.
