“Thanatos!!! That is her, Meria!”
*elevator closes*
Damn it! Just before Sephtis goes out of the elevator, it shuts, leaving him inside. Now how can he chase Meria? I am the one in charge now.
“Who's Meria?”
“It would be better if you stay clueless about her, Makaria… I mean Miss Antoinette” I said as I looked back to Meria, she was already running away so I just left Makaria to chase that soul.
“Thanatos! Come back here!”
“I am sorry, Ma'am Antoinette. I just need to do this. I'll get back to you once I am done” then I continue to run following that soul. I noticed that most of the employees are looking at me right now but I didn't mind. Once that I caught that restless soul it will all be over.
She went upstairs to the rooftop. I pant as I am getting so tired of chasing her. It feels like my legs are getting so numb by climbing up the stairs.
“Stop, Meria please. Talk to me” I am getting slower while she is getting farther and farther away. Damn it. I need Sephtis! I need some backup!
“No!”
“Why are you doing this? Don't you want to have a peaceful death?” I am trying to have a good conversation with her to understand her reason. I might be able to convince her by doing so.
“I want, but I have things to do before that”
Things to do? Great, she had this kind of unfinished business before she died? I wonder what it is.
“Your life is already done. You have to let it all go” then I tried to climb faster to chase her. I need to sway her attention for at least she will get slower. Damn it, where are you Sephtis?

Speaking of! I immediately picked up my phone inside my pocket. He is calling. Great timing.
“Hello? Dammit Sephtis, come over here!”
“Where are you?”
“On the stairs to the rooftop!”
“Okay got it. I will be right there. Just keep your eye on Meria okay?
“Yes damn it! Come quickly”
*Toot! Toot! Toot!*
“I still can't go with you! Sally told me that I should take revenge for my death”
WHAT DID SHE SAY? SALLY?
Is that… the Sally that I have encountered before? So she is recruiting some other souls to be with her huh?
This is not good.
“Sally? You are talking to Sally?”
“Forget that. Leave me alone!”
It seems like she really didn't mean to say that name but accidentally, she said it because of confusion.
“No! You need to understand that each day you stay here will get worse and worse. You have to come with us. Trust me, Sally is no good for you”
“No!!!!” She is getting so far! How can I be able to chase her? I am getting so tired, I am catching my breath.
“Meria!” I shout just before Sephtis pops out behind her.
“Got ya! At last” he said just right after he wrapped both of his arms around Meria. She won't be able to escape now.
“No!!! I need to take revenge! Let me out! I need to make him miserable!”
Meria is trying to get away but she can't, she is weak compared to Sephtis' power.
“Stop it Meria. It's already your end. Let it all go” he is trying to convince her while keeping her in his arms.
“Sephtis is right, like what I have told you before. You need to let it all go and be peaceful”
“How can I be peaceful if the reason why I die is still living freely and happily without any regrets?” Her anger is so deep. She really wants to take revenge on whoever the person she is referring to.
Maybe Sally has said a lot of things for her to be like this.
“Stop it now. You need to forgive even if it is not that easy. Even if the person who did this to you is not feeling sorry for what happened. It is for your own good.” Sephtis is still trying to convince her but as I can see, her mind and heart are already closed for forgiveness.
“Why?! It's so unfair!”
“Thanatos, thanks for your help. I will take her and talk to her privately.”
“Sure, Sephtis”
“No! Please! I need to take my revenge! I need to see Raiden!”
Wait, what? She said…
“Who?” I asked. But before she even answered me, they were both already gone.

They left me, alone, here, panting, tired, breathless. Damn it. Did she say Raiden?
That Raiden who liked Makaria?
What did he do to Meria?
Suddenly, I felt very cold as the breeze of the wind touched my skin.
“Damn you, Thanatos. You should have let her go”
I was shocked when I heard a familiar voice. She is here.
“Sally?!” Then I turn around to look for her but I can't see where she is.
“You… always blew up my plans!”
It feels like she is just near me, but I can't see her. Damn it, how can she hide like that?
“You plan to take her with you?”
“As if it was the first time?” She is insane! How can she be like that?!
“What are you talking about”
“She is not the only one *evil laugh*”
WHAT? SHE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE? MERIA IS NOT THE ONLY ONE SO THERE ARE A LOT MORE SOULS LIKE HER?!

“What?! Hey! Show yourself!” I am struggling to see her, she is nowhere to be found. “Sally!!! Talk to me!!! Where are the others?! Where did you take them?!” she is not responding anymore, and I am not feeling so cold, meaning she is gone. I cannot feel her presence here, she left me.
DAMN HER! I DON'T KNOW WHY SHE IS LIKE THAT!
“Ahhh!!!” Suddenly, my head starts to ache… once more. Really? At this time? Great!
I am out of control, I feel very dizzy. I am trying to walk straight but I can't. I feel like my brain is going to explode!

The last thing I knew… is I fell down the stairs before I lost consciousness
I peak at the crushed side window of the car in front of me. I saw the body of the child, the child that I have to carry to the afterlife. She is full of blood and I can say that every inch of her bones is dislocated. She is too young to die like this. But, I am wondering why she’s alone in this car? Where is the driver? Or her parents? Why is she the only one here?
“Who are you”
I was surprised when I heard a voice of a girl from behind. I slowly turned around...and I saw her looking at me without any emotion on her face.
“Are you...Sally?” I asked while I started to walk towards her.
“Why?”
“I am the one who asked you first young girl”
“And I asked you last, why?” Okay, I don’t think that it will be an easy job for me right now. This girl is pissing me off.
“I am here to help you,” I said nicely even if I wanted to kick her as of this moment.
“No, you’re not”
“How can you say that?”
“You’re the grim reaper. You are here to take me”
I was surprised. She’s too young to be knowledgeable about things like me. She looks very smart huh.
“N-no, I am a genie. I am here to grant you a wish” I still try to act nicely to her but it seems like it is not effective.
“If that so… bring me back to life”
“Except that”
“You are not a genie then”
WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS GIRL? SHE HAS AN ATTITUDE HUH? TOO YOUNG TO BE LIKE THAT.
“Genies can’t bring back the lives of the people who are already dead,” I said with authority. I am starting to lose my patience with this soul. I want to drag her and throw her to the long road already.
“Then what is the sense of you being here with me? What is the sense of you granting me wishes if I am already dead?”
“Okay, look, kid… I--”
“No. I don’t like you. You are a liar. You are not a Genie, you are the grim reaper”
THIS KID REALLY?! I WONDER WHAT AWAITS IN HER AFTERLIFE.
I leaned down and grabbed her hand. I furiously looked at her face which seems to not be so scared of me… or maybe she’s just pretending to be brave.
“Hey, Sally… I am here to bring you to your destiny. Cooperate with me or else...”
“Or else what? Don’t touch me. I am not Sally” she tried to remove my hands from her arms and she started to move away from me. Now I can see that she’s angry.
“What do you mean that you are not Sally?”
“Sally is the baby on that road” She pointed to the road where the car came from. I snapped my fingers immediately to bring myself to that road quickly. There I saw the baby that she is referring to. But this baby is still alive and kicking. I turned around and saw the back of a woman that seemed to be calling an emergency hotline.
I don’t think this baby is Sally.
That child is lying! I’m so stupid to believe that freaking child!
I snapped my fingers again to go back to the car incident. In there I saw her now running away from me. This child gives me a headache!
*snap*
“There you are… you can’t get away from me, Sally” she stopped running when she saw me in front of her. Does she really think that she can escape death?
“Go away!” she shouted, while tears started to flow from her eyes. Okay now what?! She’s crying? What should I do now? I am starting to hate this job.
“Listen. Don’t be afraid to go with me. It is fine”
“No, it is not”
I’M LOSING MY REASONING SKILLS WITH THIS GIRL. SHE’S GETTING THROUGH MY NERVES.
“Okay, uhm… how about this. I will grant you one wish.”
“Then… ?”
“Then if you’re ready to come with me, I’ll take you after”
“Okay”
Woooh, At least once… she listened to me. I hope this will turn out well.
“So what is your wish? Amusement parks? Cupcakes? Puppies? What?”
I waited for her response for a few minutes. She seemed to be thinking about it thoroughly. Ah this kid, she acts like an adult with her young age.
“I wish to stay here”
“I am sorry… what?” This girl is nuts. Doesn’t she want to have a feeling of peace in her soul?
“I said I wish to stay here!”
