This was the first time my parents had hosted a dinner with Robin and Seff. Of course, there was a reason behind it and as I glanced over at Kayley, I was just once again thankful my mate is here.
“The meal was absolutely delightful,” Robin said to my mom sweetly as she stood up to help clear away the last of the dessert plates.
“Oh, thank you, dear, I am so glad you enjoyed it,” my mom said as she, Robin, and Kayley quickly cleared the table.
“Shall we head to the sitting room for coffee?” my dad suggested, and Seff immediately nodded and stood up. For some reason, I was feeling nervous and unsure. It wasn’t that I didn’t think Seff wouldn’t be happy, in fact, I was fairly sure he would be over the moon. It was just so…final. Once we were scattered around the sitting room
