Lincoln’s POV I grip the steering wheel tightly as I move through the afternoon traffic, hyper aware of the woman sitting beside me. The scent of her perfume has infused the cab of my truck, torturing me. I hear Abbey sigh quietly, her gaze fixated on the window beside her, lost in her thoughts as we drive. Behind me, Robyn is unnaturally silent, a scruffy teddy bear gripped in her hand that has obviously seen better days. I feel Abbey straighten up beside me, her body tensing as her gaze fastens on the turning coming up, the one that will lead to the bus station where she asked me to take her. My fingers clenching, I press harder down on the gas, passing the turning as Abbey stiffens before he head turns toward me. ‘You missed the turning’ she mutters. ‘No I didn’t’ I reply shortly,
