(Ronan’s POV)
I was surprised when Julia kissed me, but it didn’t take long for me to return the kiss, moving my lips against hers. I groaned into her mouth, my heart rate increasing as my senses took all of her in — her scent, her hands on my shoulders, the sweet sounds she was making.
My heart was responding, too. I wanted Julia, and I wanted her forever. I had never felt this way about anyone, and it was frightening…but also exhilarating. I wanted Julia, and with this kiss, I realized she might want me just as badly.
That’s why I was a little taken aback when Julia abruptly pulled away from me, her eyes wide. She put a hand to her mouth, and I could already see the wheels turning behind her eyes as she overthought every single thing that had just happened between us.
