Maria's POV
Samuel stayed behind at the hospital to take care of his wife. Some of Samuel's men stayed with them in the hospital while the rest came with us back to the house.
The three kids are sound asleep beside me, while Marcus and Papa are in front driving us back to my tiny house. It would be sad to see Karen's empty house. If only she would tell us the truth so we could catch whoever needed to be punished and get on with our lives.
Papa parked in front of the house, and we all went out of the vehicle. My house has two bedrooms, so we put Franco, Isaiah, and Marcus in one room while Isobelle has to sleep with me in my room. Papa wants to sleep on the couch outside to keep guard.
