Graci POV
After an amazing afternoon with River opening up about his parents, I realize that I knew his parents weren’t around but never asked. As we walk back to the house, I feel exhausted and I stumble a little. I see the ground coming fast, but I never feel contact. I open my eyes and River is carrying me.
I smile up at him and close my eyes and nuzzle into his chest. I guess Lola wasn’t the only one who was tired. This baby is draining me more than the twins did. I hope everything is ok.
I wake to a sweet kiss on my forehead. I look around and I am in our bed. Dr. Brown in here and she is smiling at me.
“Baby I had the Doc come by to check you just in case.” River says smiling down at me, but I can see the worry he is trying to hide.
