Everything had turned eerily silent. The whispers quietened, and so did the air settle down. The temperature was still freezing, and I could see my breath whenever I breathed out. But I could barely breathe, frozen in fear at what was in front of me. Shaggy, curly red hair that stood and stuck out in all directions, just floating in the air with eyes as dark and vacant as the shadow of death, stared right back at me. Thin dark cracks from the corner of her eyes wormed their way out, up her brows, disappearing into her scalp. Skin as pale as a candle with thin dark cracks also tainting her cheeks and lips. The cracks formed like spiderwebs started from the corners of her lips, down her jaw and neck, and into her raggedly torn dress that floated in the air with her body. My body remained
