A ringing sound overtook my hearing as I gasped for air when my head came out of the water. Panting and coughing, I tried to remain afloat, but my pounding headache was back again. Luckily, a hand reached around my waist and led me to the river bank. My body reached dry land, and I tried to catch my breath, welcoming the feel of the sun on my skin. After catching my breath, I noticed our surroundings had changed, and it felt once more like the earth I had grown up in.
