Robin’s POV
The next day, I managed to convince Micah to let me see my grandmother. We had spoken on the phone a lot, but I hadn’t seen her in person, which had been driving me mad.
When my grandma asked when I could see her, I had to just tell her that I was very busy with school right now, but I would see her as soon as possible.
It wasn’t like we didn’t talk every day. I was glad that she was healthy and getting better every day. This was thanks to the procedure she had been through. There was more to come, but right now I could rest easy that my grandmother was going to be safe and healthy.
I’d have a few more years with her, which was the only thing I wanted.
I stepped into the hospital room with a bouquet of daffodils and the biggest smile I could fake.
“Abuela,” I said softly
