Robin’s POV “I’m inviting Kathryn over tomorrow.” Micah looked up from his laptop, brows immediately drawing together. “Why?” I leaned against the kitchen counter, arms crossed. “Because I’m going stir-crazy, Micah. I haven’t left this place in days. You said it yourself—it’s safer if I stay inside. So I’m compromising. Kathryn comes here.” “That’s not compromising. That’s you making a decision and expecting me to go along with it.” I rolled my eyes. “She’s my best friend. You already know she knows everything.” “Yes, and that was already pushing it,” he said, voice tight. “The more people involved, the more complicated this gets.” “It’s one person. And she’s not just ‘people,’ she’s Kathryn. She’s not going to run to the press or scream it from a rooftop.” Micah closed the laptop
