"I like you, too," Zion confessed while they are kissing.
***
"Yes, and I like you more," I replied with a big grin on my face.
I am ready to kiss him again when I didn't feel anything that touch my lips.
Where is his lips?
I opened my eyes but, I was greeted by the white ceiling.
That is just a dream? But, why do I feel like it's real?
Oh.
I looked around to see no one, but me. I, then, noticed myself wearing no clothes underneath the blanket that gave me a panic.
W-What happened to me?
Did I and Zion do it for real?
Confused, I searched for my phone but, it's not beside me so, I stood to find it with blanket on. In a minute, I saw it above the drawer and it's off.
Did I turn it off last night?
I can't seems to remember anything from last night. All I could recall was drinking wine while texting and calling Auntie because Zion is nowhere to be found.
I got mad at him for not showing up.
Wait. Then, who undressed me last night?
I am very confused right now.
I dialed Dra. Ko's number to know the answer to my questions, and while waiting for her, I sat down the bed again. In just two rings, she answers.
"Good morning, Toni. How are you? Did you sleep well?" she inquired in the other line.
"I did. I had a wonderful sleep. But, I can't remember anything from last night. Did Zion show up?" I directly said.
"Actually, you were asleep when he arrived."
"Wait. So you were saying, he showed up last night? He was just late?" I queried.
"Yes," she confirmed with a smile while she is on her laptop.
"What time did he arrive?"
"10pm onwards. And, he left for work early. He visited me here earlier saying that he successfully did it," she mentioned.
"I see. So... meaning to say, he already implanted it inside me?" I said, questioning myself more.
"Yes. Now, we will just have to wait for two weeks. Please avoid drinking alcohol, coffee, and fast food. You need to have enough of sleep too for good development. Don't forget to eat nutritious food too. Okay?" she advised.
"I'll take note of that. Thanks, Auntie," I replied with a smile, and I ended up the call.
Yes, he implanted it inside me already just like I wanted but, why am I sad?
Am I sad because I didn't even see him last night and this morning?
I pursed my lips melancholy on that thought.
.
.
.
I visited the hospital just to look for him.
I want to see him.
Where could he be at this time?
I approached one of the male janitor that I saw in the corner.
"Excuse me, do you know where Zion is?"
"Zion? I haven't seen him, Ma'am. Why, Ma'am, did he do something?"
"No, no. I just want to talk to him. Thanks anyway," I replied, and I left to let him do his work.
I kept walking to find him. I went to second floor, third floor, fourth floor, and so on. I asked every cleaner I saw where he is but, they all did not know where he is.
Where the hell is he?
"Toni? Is that you? What are you doing here? We don't have a consultation today," Dra. Ko asked when she saw me at the hallway. She approached me then.
"I-uh—I was just——" I stuttered because she caught me here without meeting her.
"Are you looking for Zion?" she suddenly questioned with a smile on her face, not letting me finish my sentence.
We stared for a moment, until I sighed.
"Yes, I'm looking for him. I just want to talk to him," I admitted.
"I'll give you his phone number so, you two can talk," Dra. Ko said with a grin, and she get her phone.
My eyes lit up when she said that.
After getting his number, I sat down to the lobby area and waited for him to answer.
Come on, answer. I just want to see and talk to you.
But after several rings, he didn't pick up. He must be busy.
Wait. I need to pee.
So, I stood and walked going to the washroom.
I'm on my way to the bathroom when I saw a cleaner getting inside of the men's bathroom.
"Zion! You're here," the man called.
He's here?
I peeked my head to see if he's really inside, and I saw him came out of the cubicle while holding a toilet bowl brush.
"Yeah," he briefly answered without turning his head.
I smiled seeing him. Finally. I stood in front of the door ready to call him when the man talk.
"Bro, I heard that there is a woman looking for you. She seems rich according to Ben. Do you know her?"
Hearing that, I hid to the side to eavesdrop to them.
"What does she look like?" Zion asked.
"Based on Ben's description, she has a long straight brown hair, tall, white, seems flawless, and gorgeous. He's really overacting. Anyways, is she your girlfriend?"
I snickered on the man's description, and I got flattered hearing him say his 'girlfriend'.
"I don't have a girlfriend, dude," Zion earnestly replied.
The smile from my face disappeared because of that answer.
"Really? Then, who is she? Maybe that's your relative."
"No. I don't have a relative here. That might be the woman who keeps bugging me," Zion commented in a disgusting tone.
W-What did he say?
"I see. One of the women who keeps following you around. Tell me, bro, don't you have any interest in them?"
"No, I'm not interested to them. I have different priorities in life, and that doesn't include them, or a partner for that matter. I'm okay on my own."
"Bro, are you not planning to have a family of your own?"
"No, that doesn't cross my mind. The important thing to me is my younger sister who is still in the ICU. I just agreed to met with her one time because her Auntie talked to me. If not because of her Auntie, I wouldn't come to see her. She's annoying as hell," Zion announced.
I put my right palm onto my mouth to prevent myself from making a noise so, he won't hear me.
What did he say? H-He... found me annoying? And that means... he doesn't like me?
I heard the man laughed at his remark, that really hurts my feelings.
Then, I felt a fang poked my heart.
What is this feeling? Am I heartbroken?
"That's very bad of you, Zion. You're just toying her feelings."
"That's only one time. But that won't happen again. Please tell our workmates that if a woman come to look for me again, tell her that I already left and move to another City again. Or, just say you don't know. She will surely stop looking for me. Don't you dare tell where I am, or I will bury you all under the ground."
"Noted on that, bro. I will tell them," the man said while laughing.
He's avoiding and ignoring me on purpose because... he doesn't like me.
If that is the case... I will stop bothering him. I won't force myself to someone who doesn't like me.
And, I run away with tears flowing out of my eyes.
.
.
Later on, I am sitting on my car and crying my eyes out.
If Dra. Ko didn't talk to him, he won't agreed to see me. So, he got forced to see me, and not that he wanted to see me.
That's disappointed to know.
He really doesn't like me? Fine with me. I will stay away from him from now on.
I fished my phone inside my bag, and I deleted his number that I just got. So, I won't contact him again once I found myself running back to him.
I have to let him go.
Don't worry, you won't see me again. Once I know that I am pregnant, I will fly to UK to continue my pregnancy there.
I will stay there for good... far from him.
And, I cried even more just thinking of not seeing him forever after what happened between us.

THE following days, Toni stayed only inside her condo unit all alone, that she chose to do her work at home too.
She managed to clean her place, cook her own meals, exercise to maintain her body figure, and sleep on time every day.
——
"Please, Jackson, stop it, okay. I'm busy. I don't have time to date, or whatever. Leave me alone," she directly said, and ended up the call abruptly.
Then, she resumed meditating by closing her eyes.
.
.
It's 8 in the evening, she sat down to her bed while reading a book when her phone ring. Seeing that it's her Auntie, she answers it on speaker.
"Yes, Auntie?"
"I just called, Toni, to remind you tomorrow morning to take a pregnancy test. It's been two weeks now," Dra. Ko reminded.
"I will, Auntie, first thing in the morning."
"Then, come and visit me here in the hospital once the result came out positive, okay?"
"Is it okay, Auntie, to just send you the result? I —uh... I don't wanna go there 'cause I'm a bit busy. I have a lot of work to do," she lied as she promised herself to stay away from Zion.
"Send me the result? How about your prenatal check up? We need to conduct a prenatal check up by the use of ultrasound."
"Oh. About that... I am thinking if I happen to be pregnant, I want to fly going to the UK."
"UK? You're joking. And, why would you go there? Your work is here. Your life is here. Why go there instead of staying here?" Dra. Ko queried out of curiosity.
"Well, I want to stay away from my problems like work—"
"Like Zion. Am I right?" Dra. Ko butted in.
Toni became silent just hearing his name who broke her heart.
"Toni, what's going on? Did you and Zion fight? Did he say something hurtful towards you? Tell me," Dra. Ko asked with worries.
"No, no. No, we didn't fight. We actually didn't meet after that night," she sadly replied.
"But, I gave to you his phone number. You didn't call him?"
"I did. But, he wasn't answering. I cannot find him everywhere too. Well, I guess, he's avoiding me. I understand him if he doesn't want to see me anymore."
"I'm sorry to hear that, my niece. So... are you sure about going to the UK?"
"Yes, Auntie. Maybe I will pay a visit here once I deliver the baby but, I will definitely stay in the UK, with a new life. New me," she sadly stated.
"I understand," Dra. Ko melancholy said too.
"I'm going to bed now, Auntie. I'll update you tomorrow. Good night. Bye."
And, she ended the call with a sad face.
.
.
Next morning, she put three droplets of her urine on the pregnancy test kit, and waited for it to absorb.
After one to two minutes, one red line appeared, then another red line, which means she's pregnant.
Seeing the result, she put her both palms on her mouth because she couldn't believe that she's finally pregnant.
To be continued...
