When darkness came for me in my dreams, it was not comforting like it always is. It was angry and suffocating, making it hard to breathe. I felt as though I was inhaling something toxic, surrounding me until my eyes could not see and my lungs could not fill with air. It’s like I’m choking from all directions and I can’t stop coughing. Danger loomed over me, making my blood turn cold and my skin prickle with goosebumps.
It feels like a monster is coming, a nightmare about to unfold.
