Luca and I drove to the train station in silence, I figured Luca didn’t want To say anything to me that would land him in bigger trouble with Max. I also didn’t want to say anything because I felt like Luca would report back to Max. I didn’t tell him because he was Max’s right-hand man at the end of the day and he was eager to please his boss. I figured everything and anything I told him would end up being shared with Max. At the end of the day, his loyalty wasn’t to me but the his friend.
