Serenity Roux and Nigellus sulked in their respective cells in the North Espington Slammer. Nick D’Ambrosia and Teacher Ezra Howell shared their own cell right beside their fellow traitors. The Slammer was fairly silent. Only the surrendered enemies of the Hangar Ambush dealt with the concrete walls and the uncomfortable draft.
Tenjac and Grot mourned for their fallen comrade, Algernon, who lost his life in the maw of the giant Gator. The two Piners sat in their cell with their heads bowed low. Serenity looked at the two Piners. If she wasn’t mistaken, it looked as if Tenjac and Grot were mouthing something to one another. Nigellus was too busy yelling at himself to take any notice. Nick quietly wept in the corner of his cell, Howell doing his best to console his new friend. Klaudine Heb
