The funeral had been held in the Meadow. Only the families and friends of the deceased had permission to leave the Hangar. Bruno was there. He watched as Cradock spoke a few words about the many Guard and Militia who sacrificed their lives in what Julius called the Triple Piner Attacks. Eleven graves lay together in a row, a bed of flowers surrounding the souls of the unforgotten. Bruno had thought about Brisa and Thompson, how they did all they could to keep everyone around them safe. Thompson and Kirk, along with a few of the other fallen Guard, had empty coffins for there were no remains after the Critter attack. The ceremony in the Meadow ran for only an hour due to the imposing threats outside the City. Cradock made sure that everyone made it back inside Espington safely.
