Bruno walked through the basement of the Espington Eatery in what felt like slow motion. He continued down the corridor before making it to the staircase leading to the Inns One lobby. Nurse Nicole and Sam had passed him, heading to the dead body of Miss Brisa Siegel. Bruno swiveled his head and watched as the two nurses disappeared around the corner of the corridor. He knew he'd never see Brisa again. Mallo and Maria Rosa had stayed behind with their Boss for obvious reasons. Mallo needed stitches from the Critter bite and a possible rabies shot. Maria Rosa had been in shock.
