"Johnny, we have to go!" Molly greeted him hurriedly in the doorway to the foyer with her bag and his coat clutched in her hands.
"What's the rush?" He asked with a slight smile at her chaotic energy.
She held up her phone to show him a message from her dad.
"My dad just texted me saying he just reached the town's outskirts!"
John took his coat and chuckled softly. "Your dad shouldn't text and drive. That's pretty dangerous."
"I'm sure he just stopped to pee or something. My dad isn't really the reckless type."
Taking her hand to lead her outside, John nodded.
"Okay, don't worry. We'll be home soon, do you want me to rush? We'll probably get home around the same time as he gets there."
