John picked out one of his good suits from his closet. It was the darkest grey he owned since he didn't actually have a truly black blazer. He thought it felt too ostentatious or made him look like he was attending a funeral. Even though he kept to himself, he didn't wear a lot of black the way Molly did. Having an already ruined reputation, wearing dark tones made him worry that he seemed more intimidating than usual. He thought that it definitely had that affect with Molly, but that black on her was also very classy, and that she already had a bit of an edge to her appearance that wouldn't need colours to represent or attract any attention.
