The courthouse ceremony was, in actuality, a short event of only around a half hour. So after their kiss, and signing some papers for Molly's last name change, they thanked and tipped the man who performed the marriage for them. Molly then asked if her dad would be willing to take some photos of them before they headed to the restaurant. John told him he hated being a passenger in the car, even though he knew Randy was a safe driver, and suggested he could take them to the lake to burn some time. Knowing Molly had suggested having pictures taken there before, he asked if they should stop at home to grab a better camera in place of their phones.
