Mystical Himalaya John's P O V : Cold, that's the first thing I felt as I walked through the portal. A breeze of chilly wind blew, making me shiver in the cold. The mountain was illuminated in the daylight. My eyes roamed around my surroundings and I felt like I was at peace. Everything was covered in snow. The name Himalaya complemented this mountain very well. From what I have read, the word Himalaya is derived from two sanskrit words हिम ( means snow ) and आलय ( means abode ), making the Himalaya the abode of snow. The mountain crosses about five countries: India, Pakistan, China, Nepal and Bhutan and also has some of the planet's highest mountain peaks, including the very highest, Mount Everest.
