“What?” Thorne asked again, needing to be sure he heard Regina right. “What do you mean just now?”
Regina shrugged her shoulders like it meant nothing.
“I just asked a damn question, Regina!” Thorne yelled, and she flinched slightly.
“Why the hell would you yell at me? Oh, I wanted to play dumb too and act like I didn’t know what you did. Should I just get off here and tell him everything?” she spat out, her words hitting him straight in the face. Thorne stiffened a bit.
“What did I do?” he asked, trying to sound calm, trying not to show how shaken he really was.
“Ah… that?” Her eyes narrowed. “You know what you did. Or do I need to spell it to your face? Do you think I didn’t see you both?”
