It was going to be the longest week of her life. She and Fallon were used to shifting all the time, whenever they felt like it to wander about or go hunting, play with Jitter and Stone. They even enjoyed running away from Lucian in wolfen form. Now they could not.
He’d explained how hard it was to get a small one, and she did understand that shifting could or would, if they were with a small one, likely destroy that child between them, that it would be all her fault as well. Seeing as it was her that had shifted. She didn’t want to hurt him by doing so.
She was currently off on a walk by herself, had insisted on going alone, it had been a few days now, and she needed to be alone to think about things and sort out her own issues.
