Maya opened the book to the first page. Cassian was attentive to what she was going to say; however, she did not speak but got up from her chair.
"Where are you going?"
"I want to show you something."
Maya placed a chair next to Cassian's, cleared the items from the table, and showed him the first page of the book. Her slender fingers glided smoothly across the page, revealing a map of all the kingdoms. It was similar to the map they had hanging in Barto's office, but this one had something different; there was one more kingdom.
"This was supposed to be the world before the elves distanced themselves from humans and hid their kingdom."
The kingdom of the elves was much larger than any of the other kingdoms. Cassian asked, "That's an incredibly large kingdom. How can they hide it?"
