An hour later, the bus stopped by a public restroom to give everyone a short break.
Claire was so wholly absorbed in Evans' handsome good looks that when I offered her an invitation to go to the bathroom, she rejected me outright without any hesitation.
"Oh, Nina, Evans and I were just talking about an interesting thing; you can go by yourself, right?"
Claire didn't even want to leave that chair.
She didn't even take her eyes off Evans' face while she was saying these words.
