Chapter 82

1599 Words

Alex POV Everything had moved fast yet felt so slow since the news of the accident. I wanted to hold Gemma and let her know all will work out in the end and that the loss, though tragic, is not the end of the world. We are all hurting in our own way, but no words I could think of would come out right, so I held her and let her cry. She never liked to cry in front of others, but she let the tears flow freely in front of me and her Dad. Uncle Scott took her phone and looked at the modifications she had made to a standard tracker that most could get on their phones. It was a 'find my phone' app that she played around with. We left together so Gemma could shower and sort herself out before she would meet us at Dad's office. We are having another meeting—there are always so many meetings.
