Alex POV Waiting on one knee seemed agonizingly long. Time stood still as I waited for her answer. I felt like I was begging her. My insides were churning, sweat trickled down my back, and my nerves were on high alert. The room was so still and quiet as if everyone was holding their breath, waiting for her answer. I had not thought of how I would react if she said no. What to do? Stand and act like it was nothing? Cry?
