Douglas POV
I was feeling cold, so I turned to snuggle into Jessica, a loud oomph left my mouth as I startled awake, having fallen on the floor in a big heap.
Groggily, I look around and realize I had fallen asleep on the balcony chair.
Jessica had gone to bed after covering me with a blanket and closing the plastic curtains to keep the balcony as warm as she could.
I appreciate her efforts.
Making my way into the bedroom and shucking off my clothes, before spooning in behind her.
Her body warmed me quickly, and soon sleep found its way again.
I reached out to gather Jessciaa into my arms again, but only found an empty bed.
Sitting up in a hurry, I nearly fall out of bed, having moved across the bed in search of Jessica's warmth.
She was not in the bathroom, which looked empty
