Jessica POV
The first meeting was boring, and I was not interested in working with this guy or his company. He was arrogant and talked down to me. When a person does that, I lose interest fast and can't be bothered to defend or argue with them. They need my cooperation and my money.
He is getting neither.
"Thank you for giving me your time, and I look forward to our collaboration." He squeezed my hand when I held it out for him to shake, and that action made me feel dirty.
"My office will be in touch soon with our decision."
When he was not looking, I wiped my hand on my skirt to remove the feeling.
He left acting all full of himself, as if he was sure he got what he came for.
He reminded me of my ex and how slick he could be when he wanted to be, not an honest bone in his body.
