Our families were here for dinner. Jenny and Ewan are here too, since they are also family. We were going to tell our parents about the baby. I am nervous, and so is Sydney. I am sure they will be happy once they get over the shock of it. It took us time to get used to the idea. It took us over a week after the scan to finally invite them to tell them. Not only because we were nervous but also because we were busy trying to find a house. We have a few viewings lined up for next week within our budgets, so hopefully, one of them will work out for us.
“Right, we appreciate the invitation to dinner, but we all feel like you have something to tell us, so please tell us.” My mum smiles, the others nodding in agreement.
We should have known. Mothers always know, right?
