Sydney has been strangely quiet since she came home a couple of hours ago. She has barely spoken a word. Yes, she has been playing with Ewan, but something seems off. She seems stressed like she has something on her mind. I hope she and Jenny didn’t have an argument or something. I can’t see a reason why they would, but it has been since their time, something seems wrong.
“Sydney, did something happen at lunch? Did you and Jenny have an argument or something?” I ask softly, looking down at her on the floor where she is with Ewan.
“What, no, why would we argue?” she laughs.
“I don’t know, but something is up with you. Did something else happen? What is wrong? Please, don’t tell me it is nothing because I know it will be a lie.” I reply.
