Chapter 9 “Mom! Help!” She must have sounded more desperate than she intended, because Mom dropped everything and raced around the design table. “I haven’t cut myself. It’s just a clothing design emergency. I’m so stuck.” Mom huffed out a sharp breath, but looked her over anyway. Once she convinced herself they weren’t racing to ER anytime soon, she threw her arms around her. Tammy just held on. “Hard to know which is worse, isn’t it?” At the moment, Tammy would vote for being stuck. She’d almost rather be racing to ER, because at least then she’d know what was wrong.
