"Ash, Ash….please." I pulled him closer, pressing my cheeks against him. Not sure what that would do, but I was scared. A part of my being was tearing away from me.
"Don't leave me, I beg you." Tears rushed down my cheeks as pain sliced through me in a way I could not comprehend.
"I can't stay here without you. I can't do this without you, please."
"Raven…" His voice came to my mind weakly. And I sobbed even more.
"I won't disappear if you don't." His weak voice came again.
"Remember, I am your guardian. I was born with you, and I only die if you die." His voice was more of a whisper now. But the agonizing scream that exploded from my chest wasn't because of his voice. But the fact that he was fading away. He was slowly disintegrating into black dust and disappearing into thin air.
