Japheth The police came and took the report, and surveyed the damage. Reggie’s insurance would cover the repairs, but I was more worried that someone out there wanted to hurt the woman I loved. Security footage had showed a dark hooded figure that had walked into the parking lot from the street, wove through the rows of parked cars like he was looking for one car in particular, and then, with furtive glances over the shoulder, had bent over Reggie’s car with what looked like some kind of pocket knife. Whoever it was, they had managed to keep their face in the shadows. Reggie had watched the film too, and she couldn’t say for sure if it was the same guy who had tried to run her down with the motorcycle.
