Gabe stepped inside the house. He was late home due to the fact that lightning had struck an electricity transformer pole and half the town was now in a state of black out. There were also two trees on the street near that pole on fire, and there was a power line down from the strike as well. Two cars had crashed due to the lightning strike. They’d been right there coming down the street when the strike happened, and one had crashed into the other when the sudden jamming on of breaks had happened.
The storm itself was so bad, that a couple of roofs had peeled away, and there was one home with a tree down in the front yard, had smashed through into the two front rooms of the house, a trampoline had been reported to have flicked up in the high winds and smashed itself into the house next do
