Daciana's suggestion

Aziza froze in her spot as it turned very dark before her. Damon was her secret weapon, no one had to know about him. His presence to the supernatural world should come as a surprise and on her own terms alone. Not to add, that he was her mate. If Daciana went home, if she was telling the truth then everything would all have been wasted. They would know that she was still alive and would come for her in thousands till they got her, then Damon would follow. An image of Damon on the floor with blood dripping out his nose and mouth suddenly surfaced in her mind, pain struck her chest and she shook her head at the thought. “No,” her voice came out almost in a whisper and she turned to Daciana. If the woman went home, bad things were going to happen. Her secret would be revealed, the plan she had for years would be all for nothing and she would lose Damon in the process. None of that could happen, none of it. Her demons instantly roared inside of her, and in between seconds, they surfaced, turning her eyes to its peculiar red and black, her fangs grew out of her teeth and her claws elongated. “Daciana,” her voice called out to the woman and she stood up in an instant. Danger alert rang in her head at the sight of Aziza and she took a step backward. She could see through her devilish thought, anyone would do the same and she had not been given the opportunity to state what she had in mind. But at that point, that was not so important compared to her life. “You simply have to die,” she added wickedly. Her voice sounded as hollow and empty as death itself. Her skin crawled like hands were running through it, bony, skeletal hands. “Wait,” she raised her hand in the air and took a step backward to escape the ferocious woman. Aziza was no longer listening to her, she would have felt so sorry for wanting to kill her, but at that point, Damon was the only important thing. Her plan, her return and Damon. Nothing else mattered, at that point. She zoomed and grabbed Daciana by her neck, then she slammed her against a wall. “A….” Daciana panicked and tried to speak but she was being choked and words had to form. “Plan,” she pushed out harshly from her throat and kicked but Aziza held her stronger, not letting her go even for a bit. She fought and struggled against her hold, then she slammed her knee into her stomach, taking the red hair by surprise. Aziza released her hold only for a bit and Daciana took her hand and bit her hard till she drew out blood with her canines. Aziza groaned and used her knees to kick her at the side of ribs. The pain lunged into her stomach, breaking her ribs and she let go of Aziza’s hand. She retreated from the wolf and the other did the same as well. “I have a plan, you vile thing,” Daciana yelled angrily, breathlessly and quickly placed her hand on her ribs. She had indeed crushed some with her knees and it was harder to speak. She fell on her knees and took a deep breath to ease the pain she felt when Aziza turned to her. Her hand was wounded and dripping blood and it was all the more annoying. “Killing you is easier,” she answered wickedly. Daciana found it menacing and snapped her gaze to a woman she admired. She was simply too heartless, too wicked, too cold and definitely did not care for life at all. Could she ever be as strong as her? Oh, she was about to die, so it was not even possible. She chuckled at herself and the end she could see already and Aziza frowned. “What’s so funny?” Daciana sat down on the floor and relaxed her back against a wall. “You spared me,” she whispered, scared that her pain would worsen if she spoke too loudly. “I had thought I would make my life better. Be better, be as brave and strong as you. You are so unafraid and I had wanted to do that so badly. But for the sake of my life and what you are protecting here, I risked everything to tell you all I know and to wipe my memories. But I was rather seen as the enemy and target. The life I wanted to save and be better so badly would be taken by the same person who had spared it, the same person I had come to save in my own way.” She took a deep breath and winced. “What an irony?” Aziza’s heart fell at the sound of her painful words and she had pushed her demons aside almost immediately. She stared at the woman on the floor and felt pity and guilt mixed in one and groaned. Meeting new people was making life harder. It was so simple when it was just her, no one to speak to, no one to save, no one to see except for those she needed to kill and that was all. There was absolutely nothing more than that, no feelings, no jokes and definitely no complicated things happening. “What’s your plan?” she pushed between gritted teeth. Daciana’s eyes widened and a smile appeared on her lips. “We would have probably been good friends in different circumstances,” “No, I doubt that,” Aziza rolled her eyes and started towards her. Taking her hand, she lifted her from the ground and placed her hand over her shoulder. “Ouch, easy, you broke it.” “Really? I didn’t even use any strength, are you that weak?” she retorted. Daciana turned to her and flashed her a glare for being called weak. But on second thought, she wondered how powerful Aziza was. There was no need thinking about that all that much since she would not be able to remember. “You have a wizard by your side. You can wipe my memories clean.” She stated her plan and Aziza stopped in her tracks. “What is she saying? Dying was better than not having any memories at all.” “Are you mad?” Daciana smiled and resisted the urge to chuckle “If this is madness, then I would gladly be mad for the rest of my life. By the way, thank you for making me mad,” she responded. Aziza growled and let go of her hand and waist. Daciana fell on the floor and shouted in pain, then she flashed Aziza a glare. The woman ignored her and walked over to a high spot and sat down. she stared at her as she winced in pain and wondered what was wrong with her. She had helped her selflessly, admired her. No one should ever admire her, yet she did and she was ready to wipe her memory to protect her. Why? The question gave her a sharp pain and emotions flooded into her heart. she had no idea how to react nor what to say anymore. So, she stared at the woman and watched her intently. “You can read minds, right?” Daciana asked. “You can read mine to know if I’m telling the truth. But we need to do this fast before it’s too late.” She added, sensing her reluctance and confusion. “Why are you doing this?” Aziza suddenly asked the question that was bothering her. The wolf looked away and sighed heavily. Her thoughts travelled back, way back to younger days and pain filled her heart. “Life has always taken from me,” she began slowly. “It always took and I was forced to watch helplessly. I remained helpless even till now. I don’t want that anymore, I want to choose my path, give what was given and never be so scared or helpless anymore.” She added and turned back to her. “You helped me and I want to help you,” “By losing your memories?” “My memories are filled with pain and they mean absolutely nothing to me. I would be better off without them.” she responded. Aziza stared at her, confused on what to do or if she should believe her. Before she could think, she heard a loud bang and snapped her eyes to the Roxwell house. Damon stormed out of it angrily and her heart caught in her chest. Daciana and her words were pushed aside in an instant and she wanted to run to him. She turned to the woman and found that she was staring at her with a knowing smile on her face. she glared at her and picked up her phone. She did not trust Daciana but if she was telling the truth and needed her memories wiped instead of dying by her hands, then she could do that as well. The other end of the line clicked and Russel’s grouchy voice came through the other end. “If you have decided to die for Damon and refuse to sleep, can’t you let me sleep as well?” she frowned, hating the line he had used but she ignored him. “I’m bringing someone over, I need you to pry into her thoughts,” she said and ended the call. Then she stormed towards Daciana. Seeing the serious look on her face, she could not tell what the red hair was thinking, but it frightened her. “Aziza,” she called out lowly, unsure of what she was thinking or what she was going to do. But Aziza had not said a thing and had only stormed towards her. She stopped in front of her and flashed her a smile. “Sleep tight,” Smash Something hard hit her head. Aziza did a run round in Damon’s path home first to simply check for danger. When she found none, she went back to Daciana and picked her limp body. Just as she had said, she sped through Russel’s house and into his room, then she dropped her on his bed, beside him. Russel, who was fast asleep, jerked and jumped up when he felt the sudden presence. “Are you mad?” he growled at Aziza and balled his hand into a fist. Aziza glared at him, still remembering that he had said something wrong and made her lie to Damon, she was still not over it and he had not apologised yet. “Keep her unconscious, but I want to know her deepest thoughts and secrets.” She turned to the door like she had not just done something wrong. Russel tightened his fist and grinded his teeth as he watched her walk away. He wanted to recite some spells and cause her pain, but he would never want that for her, so he could only screech and curse helplessly. Seeing as she was out of sight, he turned to the bed, and found Daciana, naked. His eyes widened and he instantly snapped his head away with so much force, it would have snapped. Then he cursed underneath his breath. Aziza had only just gotten to the building where she always stood when she was watching Damon and found that he had arrived earlier than expected. She frowned, and thought of the speed he would have forced his driver to get home and how dangerous it would have been. They would have met with an accident and she was not there. He must be really hurt. She sat down and took a deep breath, as she remembered his expression when he came out of the house. Her heart fell and she thought of going inside to see him and see how he was doing but knowing she had caused it, she remained put and resisted the urge to go to him. Time passed by, it flew by slowly and she sat idly. Bored, worried and restless, she paired into the house even after resisting the urge to. Everything seemed to be normal, only that Damon was nowhere to be found. Not in the dinning, his studies, his bed or even his bathroom. Frightened, she stood up and looked closer, in search of him. Then she perceived it, the slight smell of blood. Her eyes and nose worked hand in hand and she finally caught sight of Damon. On the floor, with blood coming out of his nose and mouth just like the image she had seen earlier. The world suddenly went dark before her and her heart ran out of her chest, as she zoomed into the house.
