Dante's pov
This isn't what we agreed on.
"The award for mother of the year goes to you, Samantha Hale. How does it feel to be a shitty mother?" Jade asked her mother.
"Enough, Jade, you left the Coven first and your responsibilities. You were the one who made yourself into a rouge witch. All mom is saying is that if you want to be part of this Coven, then do your part." Sasha said.
Jade chuckled bitterly, and I frowned when I saw the tears in her eyes.
"If I don't, then my own mother will kill me. And that too in the most brutal way possible?" Jade asked her sister.
"Nobody is killing you here. How is Mom making you a rogue, killing you? You did that to yourself, and 6 years later, you are alive and well." Sasha retorted.
Jade just started laughing as she looked at her older sister. "It must be nice being you, living in this little bubble you live in. Do you know what happens to a rogue witch?"
She looked at her father, who looked down as if ashamed.
What happens to a rogue witch?
Witches have always been so secretive that we know almost nothing about them.
"Tell her, so no one except me and my parents know this? Typical." Jade said as she walked toward her sister. "First, you slowly started losing your magic, then your sanity follows, and then you die."
"But not just any death, an excruciating death that you wish and pray that death would come to you." She answered.
The entire room looked at her mother, who didn't contradict this at all.
Wait, this is true? She would kill her daughter just because she didn't want to do something?
"Shall I show you? It's like you didn't believe me." Jade said with a tormented smile.
I blinked once, and then I was in a hospital staring at a woman who was suffering and screaming in bed. I watched as she was drugged and then dragged away.
Later on, I saw her again. This time, she was busy banging her head. Screaming and begging for death, honestly, it scared even me, the torture and pain in her eyes were too much.
Suddenly I was back and I looked around and noticed that everyone had the same look as me.
"That is what happens to a rogue witch." She said, and then looked around the room. "My mother did that to her, listen here, Samantha Hale. If you want to kill me, then go ahead and do it. Kill me." She said and turned to leave the room.
"Wait," I stopped, and she looked at me.
"This isn't what we agreed to, I was against this madness to begin with. But threatening your own daughter like this. I won't just stand and watch." I said, and Jade scoffed.
"For this to even reach this far, it shows the type of man and Alpha you are." She said, and I looked at her confused.
"Let me dumb it down for you. You are a weak and incapable leader. You can't keep your wife or your people in check. So cut the crap!" She said.
"You can not speak to our Alpha like that!" Felix said, standing up.
She turned around and looked at him. "Or what?"
"I will make you regret it." Felix said, and Jade chuckled.
"I would like to see you try," she said suddenly he was flying around the room.
The windows in the room started breaking, and Felix started screaming in pain. He was bleeding, from his eyes, nose, mouth, and ears.
"I can kill you in a second if I want. Next time, watch your mouth when you talk." Jade said and then looked at her mother.
"f**k you, Samantha!" She said and then walked out.
"Your daughter doesn't even respect you, you said that she will agree." My mother said.
"Jade acts before she thinks, she will come back and say yes." Mrs Hale said. "She has always been like that, she will come around."
"You said that 6 years ago and sister left and never came back. You always do this, you burden your responsibilities on her." Jay said.
"And you Sasha," He said pointing at his older sister. "You aren't different from Mom. You were supposed to be the Coven leader but you ran away from your responsibilities. Did you just say doing your part? What have your ever done for the Coven?"
"I got us a marriage alliance." Sasha answered and he scoffed.
"What alliance? The one you are hoping that Jade will save for you?" He asked her. "You took away her childhood by being a coward and now you want to take away her future." He said and then chuckled.
"Actually I do hope that Jade agrees to marry your husband. And I hope that he falls madly in love with her and for once Jade will take something from you." He added.
"Enough, that is your older sister you are talking to!" Mrs Hale said.
"Really? I don't see her here, I only have one big sister." He said and then walked away.
"Amazing Samantha, you already put that poor girl through hell and you are doing it again. She was healing and you just had to drag her into this." Emily Hale said.
What did she go through?
What the hell happened to her?
"I know how to control my kids, I am not like you. Jade has a strong sense of responsibility." Mrs Hale said.
"Really? When she was here you were saying otherwise. I would never put the Coven before my own kids. Actually, I wouldn't obviously show my kids that I have a favorite." Emily Hale added.
The door opened just as Mrs Hale was about to respond.
Jade stood there.
"I will do it, but I have terms and conditions." She added.
She really agreed, what terms could she probably have?
