Chapter 6: The solution

Dante's pov
"Why on earth would you suggest such a thing?" I asked Sasha, who looked down.
"For you, for your little brothers and for my coven." She answered, and I frowned.
"So you went behind my back and did the last thing you know I don't want. And I am supposed to believe that it is for my sake?" I asked her.
"You said being Alpha is hard, and you never wanted your brothers to live such a life." She tried to reason.
"You are such a good sister-in-law that you thought of my brothers. But what about your sister?" I asked her, and she sighed.
"Jade won't be a problem. She was raised to become the future Coven leader. If there is anyone who would do anything to protect the Coven, then it's her." She answered.
"Amazing, Sasha, you don't care about your sister's feelings at all?" I asked her.
"I do. She is my little sister, and I love her dearly." She replied, and I scoffed.
"And yet you don't have a problem using her for your own selfish motives?" I asked her, and she sighed.
"I made a decision, as your Luna and also as the oldest child of the Hale family. This solution will benefit both families." She then said.
"What about your sister? How will this benefit her ?" I asked her and watched as she frowned.
"Your responsibility is to worry about the pack, not my sister. The elders agreed to this because they know that it's a good solution." She said and left the room.
Why did they agree to this ridiculous plan?
And why, Jade?
I had a very simple solution that wouldn't complicate all our lives.

Jade’s pov
I was at the beach when I suddenly got a text from my DAd asking me to come home immediately.
There was an urgent meeting being held in the evening that same day. It has something to do with Sasha, but that's all he had to say.
If I drive there today, then tomorrow I can return.
Plus, Dad wouldn’t just say that there is an emergency for no reason.
I got to my car and went to my apartment and packed up for the trip.
I really don't want to go home, but I don't think I have much of a choice in the matter.
On my way there, I found a massive accident on the way. As a nurse, I couldn't just drive by like it's none of my business. I joined the others who were helping, and by the time I was done, about 4 hours had gone by.
I got into my car and then drove home, but I was already a few hours late because of the delay. When I got home, it was awfully quiet, and I went upstairs to my mother's office.
I knocked once, and she told me to come in. I looked around the room, and it seemed as if everyone had been there already.

"Sister, are you okay?" Jay aske, running to me.
"Yes, I am fine, this isn't my blood. I am sorry for being late. There was a massive accident on the way." I explained, and Mom scoffed.
"You just love playing the hero to strangers. But you leave your family hanging and when they need you the most." She said, and I chuckled.
"Wait a second, this family actually needs me? Me , a nobody who can't do anything, right?" I asked her.
"Well, you should try doing a better job in proving me wrong. We waited here for you for 2 hours." She said, and I smiled at this.
I turned around and headed for the door.
"Then you can wait an extra hour." I said.
"What? Look around you. These are important people, and they shouldn't wait for you." My mother said.
"They waited for me for 2 hours, I guess I am he important person here." I retorted with a smile.
"Honey, please sit down for a second. It won't take long." Dad said, and I nodded.
"My shower won't take long as well." I said and left the office.
My shower took long, I was tired and honestly needed the rest.
On my day of, I just had to be summoned back to hell.
After two hours of just sitting in the bathtu, I heard an angry knock on my door.
I opened the door and found Mother standing there fuming.
I have a talent of pissing her off.
"Get dressed right now." She said, and I nodded. I got dressed and followed her to her office.
My hair was still wet. It's a good thing I chopped some of it off.
We got to the office and I sat next to Sasha.
I closed my eyes for a second, and I could feel myself drifting off.
"Jade, this is a serious matter." I heard Dad say. I looked around the room. Everyone had this serious look on their faces.
"Let me tell her." Sasha said and held my hand. "About a few days ago, l found out that I can never be a mother. They said there is an obstruction in my fallopian tube."
I pulled her into a hug immediately, and she just started sobbing.
"I know a very good fertility doctor. She will help you through all of it. And you can also consider surrogacy as well. We will find a solution to this." I said, and she nodded.
"We already found one." Mother said, and I looked at her.
"There is a spell that can help her? That's why I am here? Okay then, let's get started." I said, getting up and looking around the room. Everyone was looking at me as if there was something they weren't telling me.
"You are the solution, Jade, but not like that." Dad said gently.
"Wait, do you want me to be your surrogate?" I asked her.
"I mean, you are my sister, so I will be your surrogate." I said, and she shook her head.
Then what else?
I listened to what Sasha had to say with disbelief.
Who the f**k came up with this so called solution?
"No, hell no." I said firmly.
"Jade, I am begging you." Sasha said and I shook my head.
"Are you listening to yourself? You are asking me to marry your husband and be his second wife. Not only that, but I should sleep with him and when I get pregnant and give birth I will hand over my child to you." I said and she nodded.
"You said you had no interest in having a child of your own." Sasha said and I nodded.
"And yet you are asking me to have it and then give it to you and your mate." I retorted and she just continued crying.
"If you don't do this, your sister's marriage will end along with the alliance between the Pack and our Coven." Mother said.
"I love my husband very much. And except for the fact that I can't give him a child, we are happy together. Please help me save my marriage!" she said, and I laughed.
"And don't I deserve that happiness? And that is not the issue here. I will not sleep with your husband or marry him. Find another person to screw over." I said and turned to leave.
"If you walk out of that door, I will do something I should have done a long time ago. I will turn you into a rouge witch." Mother said and I looked at her.
She meant every single word coming out of her mouth. She knows fully well that a rogue witch can never survive our world.
First, you lose your magic, then your mind, and then your life.
She would kill me all of this?
