CHAPTER 95 ALEX POV She looked down at the card, like she was about to change her mind. I swallowed, holding on to the little hope that she would–even though I knew it wasn't plausible. But then she gently picked it up and shoved it between the pages of the file before her. “Have you met with the patient?" she asked after sighing softly. “Kurt Williams? Have you spoken with him?" I shook my head. “No." “Okay," she said with a short nod. “Let's just hope he doesn't press charges for what happened. If not… you could be permanently pulled off the field.” My heart skipped a beat at the thought. Taking my license and having me suspended was one thing.
