Jena I run into my mother's arms, feeling comfort in her heat as she wraps her arms around me. It had only been a week since I had last seen her, but I didn't get the chance to say goodbye as I raced to get to John. My mother holds me close to her, breathing me in as I breathe in her lavender scent. When we pull apart, I smile at her with a lump in my throat. She gives me a reassuring smile, telling me that I am doing the right thing in bringing John here. She lifts her eyes to take him in, moving past me to greet him. John looks uncomfortable, not sure what to do, so he reaches his hand out, but my mother shakes her head with a little laugh and then wraps her arms around him. John hesitates a second and then he closes his eyes, wrapping his arms around her. "It is good to see you John."
