The car comes to a screeching halt in front of the hospital, and I am jumping out the door before Carter can even switch off the engine. I ran to the reception area, almost pushing an old lady out of the way. I apologize as I run past her, but I don’t stop until I am almost jumping over the counter.
“We are here for Gwen Cullen. She is in labor.” I add as a last thought. The receptionist quickly gives me the room and floor and I sprint off again, taking the stairs two at a time.
